Reporting to: Predictive Equipment Maintenance Manager

Job Overview

 

  The Machine Maintenance Specialist will focus on implementing predictive maintenance technologies on the central facility.

  and production equipment in a highly automated medical production facility. Also, assist in troubleshooting and repairing all

  equipment within the facility from air compressors to injection molding machines as needed to help reduce equipment

  downtime

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement WI (Work Instruction), and Standard Operation Procedure to ensure the efficient operation of the manufacturing & facility equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems of automated equipment including PLC’s, servo drives, vision systems, robots, communication networks, etc.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems of facility equipment including air compressors, chillers, process water systems, BMS components, etc.
  • Help to identify parameters and technologies inside this equipment to create predictive tools for finding component failures before they occur.
  • Contributes to project teams to ensure the successful completion of team objectives.
  • Identifies training needs and develops training and standard operating procedures for employees to ensure the effective use of continuous process improvement methodologies.
  • Conducts safety audits and observations throughout the continuous improvement process, to ensure safe practices are not sacrificed by procedural changes or process modifications.
  • Find solutions to problem areas in existing operational procedures.
  • Identifies/communicates/overcomes obstacles that may prohibit meeting production requirements.

Promotes a clean/safe workplace.

 

Skills and Qualification

 

  • Associate of Applied Science Degree, apprenticeship graduate, or equivalent work experience. 
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in maintaining control systems and electrical/electronic repair.
  • Experience utilizing prints, schematics, and documentation for troubleshooting issues.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a highly automated manufacturing environment with a focus on troubleshooting equipment and interaction with tools and programs to communicate with the machine.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work well within multi-discipline teams for troubleshooting and documenting issues.
  • Excellent in troubleshooting, analyzing, and solving problems with various electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic controls and systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex control issues.
  • Knowledge of Siemens control systems and ProfiNet communication
  • Willingness to become a subject matter expert on multiple control systems and lead the development of documentation and training of employees.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance-leading practices, including preventative maintenance, predictive maintenance, and reliability-centered maintenance
  • PIT certification for man-lifts
