[ OE ] Principal / Senior Manufacturing Engineer - Spring Technology

This role is embedded in the Packaging & Forming Technology Group within our Global Operations Engineering team in Taiwan.

【Main Responsibilities】

• Together with the rest of your team you will support the production of Compression Springs for our autoinjector systems
• Lead the Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations for non-conforming compression springs.
• Familiar with spring winding processes (e.g., coiling, forming, bending, heat treatment, machine parameter set-up, etc.) with theoretical background and application experience to support RCA.
• Collaborate closely with shopfloor production technicians, maintenance, quality and process development on performance/process improvements and troubleshooting.
• Conduct risk assessment of the proposed process changes and suggest risk mitigation solutions.
• Plan, communicate and implement Engineering Evaluation activities.
• Document engineering requirements using the appropriate manufacturing document module.

【Required Skills & Qualifications】

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Material Science, or any similar field.
• Several years of relevant experience in manufacturing, cold forming, stainless steel wiring, all in one spring winding machine development or any similar field.
• Working knowledge of Compression Springs properties and parameters.
• Working knowledge of metal properties and characteristics.
• Knowledgeable in Failure Mode Effective Analysis (FMEA) and Control Plan.
• Experience in Change Control management and risk assessment methodologies.
• Experience in writing WI, SOP, and guidelines for Manufacturing Operations.
• Ability to generate technical documents like Engineering Reports.
• Experience in problem solving methodologies, such as DMAIC or 8D is preferred. Six sigma certification is a plus.
• Ability to handle and draw insights from Manufacturing Process data sets.
• Good interpersonal skills during collaboration across support groups.
• Attends to details and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner.
