Principal Engineer - Injection Molding Process Development

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Principal Engineer of Injection Molding Process Development to join our team in Zug, Switzerland. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the development and optimization of injection molding processes. This role requires a strong technical background in injection molding, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record in process development.

Main Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of (injection molding processes) for new and existing tooling products in in the medical field.
• Oversee the design, development, and optimization of injection molding systems and parameters.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain, to ensure efficient and high-quality production processes.
• Manage a team of engineers and technicians, providing guidance, training, and support.
• Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost analyses for injection molding projects.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, including work instructions, standard operating procedures, and quality control plans.
• Monitor and analyze process performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, advancements in injection molding technologies, and best practices.
• Communicate project status, issues, and recommendations to senior management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in injection molding process development or a related field.
• Proven experience in managing injection molding projects and leading cross-functional teams.
• Strong knowledge of injection molding design, development, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience in the medical and manufacturing industry.
• Familiarity with automation and robotics in injection molding processes.
• Excellent English proficiency in communication and interpersonal abilities, enabling effective collaboration across diverse teams and stakeholders.
