Quality Control Supervisor

Job Overview
The Quality Control Supervisor will lead the QC team and is responsible for overseeing all aspects of our quality control operations, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards. This role will supervise a team of QC inspectors and technicians, develop and implement quality control procedures, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of QC inspectors and technicians, providing training, coaching, and performance feedback.
- Develop, implement, and maintain effective quality control procedures and protocols.
- Manage QC Technician work schedules to support manufacturing operations and testing obligations and expedite daily production output by assuring timely flow of all quality control checks and corrections.
- Generate inspection procedures (Work Instructions) for testing of new products and pointing out areas requiring additional attention required for the QC Technicians.
- Assists with complex technical problems, in which multiple sites may be implicated.
- Effectively communicate and document all major quality problems to respective individuals and ensure closure on resolution.
- Conduct audits and inspections of manufacturing processes and finished products to identify and address quality issues.
- Analyze quality control data and identify trends to implement preventative measures and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure all QC activities comply with relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Maintain accurate and complete quality control documentation.
- Work collaboratively with other departments (e.g., Operations, Engineering, QA) to identify and address root causes of quality issues.
- Stay up to date on the latest quality control technologies and best practices.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in an applicable scientific field, preferably in biological, engineering, chemical, or physical sciences.
- 5+ years of years of experience in a role within Quality Control.
- Ability to communicate effectively on a technical and professional level with customers, across organizations, and with all levels of management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with all levels of an organization.
- Detail-oriented and able to work with a high volume of documents in a fast-paced environment.
- Highly organized and process-oriented.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and coach a team.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Experience in Pharmaceutical quality operations supporting manufacturing operations is strongly preferred.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing quality control procedures.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of quality control principles and methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing).
- Knowledge of FDA requirements and ISO 13485, as they relate to quality control
- ASQ Certification is highly preferred.
- Six-Sigma certification preferred.
