SHL Medical to speak at DCAT Summit in Lugano
SHL Medical is pleased to announce our participation for the first time in the upcoming DCAT Sustainability Summit: The Global Bio/Pharmaceutical Sustainability Imperative. The summit will be held on May 21-22 at Lugano, Switzerland, gathering industry leaders to discuss the critical topic around global bio/pharmaceutical sustainability.
Our Global Head of Sustainability, Dora Rio, is one of the distinguished panelists in a roundtable session for “Sustainability and Product Development” on May 22. The forum will focus on the critical importance of incorporating sustainability throughout a product’s lifecycle. In this session, Rio and other industry leaders will provide insights on overcoming the challenges of upstream product development while meeting sustainability obligations.
Sustainability remains an integral part of SHL Medical’s corporate identity. To date, we have made significant progress in reducing our environmental footprint and promoting sustainable practices, as recognized through the prestigious EcoVadis® Silver medal we acquired and the improvement of our CDP climate score. SHL Medical has set ambitious 2030 sustainability goals, aiming to further drive patient health, reduce ecological footprint, and ensure responsible business practices. Various measures have been launched to achieve these targets, including initiatives to minimize waste generation, increase the use of renewable energy, and enhance sustainability practices across its supply chain.
