Packaging Operator
Location: Charleston, South Carolina, US
Reporting to: Manufacturing Supervisor – Injection Molding

Job Overview
The Packaging Operator is responsible for supporting the production process by managing packaging activities, replenishing supplies, collecting quality samples, and maintaining workplace organization. This role ensures the smooth handling of injection-molded components while adhering to safety and quality standards.
Main Responsibilities
- Box Handling & Palletizing: Move full boxes of injection-molded components from production lines to pallets and stage them in designated areas.
- Replenishment: Regularly replenish empty boxes on machines to ensure continuous production flow.
- Sample Collection: Collect samples of injection-molded components from machines and deliver them to the Quality team for inspection.
- Workplace Organization: Actively participate in 6S initiatives by maintaining clean, organized, and efficient work areas.
- Use provided tablet or workstations to operate SAP for system transactions
- Equipment Monitoring: Support the smooth operation of packaging equipment by addressing minor issues and reporting any concerns to supervisors.
- Documentation: Record production data, such as completed pallets and sample information, to maintain accurate records.
- Adhere to safety protocols and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required (AAS degree in related field preferred, or equivalent military training or industrial training or an equivalent combination of education experience
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
- Basic knowledge of workplace organization systems such as 6S.
- Ability to handle physical tasks, including lifting and moving boxes.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure proper sampling and replenishment.
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with production and quality teams.
Preferred: (nice to have)
- Familiarity with injection molding processes or packaging operations.
- Exposure to quality control practices in a manufacturing setting.
