【Job overview】
A Manufacturing Manager is responsible for overseeing the production processes in a manufacturing plant or facility, ensuring that products are made efficiently, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role involves managing staff, streamlining processes, coordinating with other departments, and upholding safety and quality standards.
【Responsibilities】
Production Planning and Scheduling
- Develop and manage production schedules to meet production targets.
- Ensure availability of raw materials and components to prevent downtime.
- Coordinate with other departments (e.g., Design, PMC, Quality) to align production goals.
Process Optimization
- Analyze production processes to identify areas for improvement and implement efficiency measures.
- Develop and implement lean manufacturing strategies to minimize waste and reduce costs.
- Use data-driven approaches to monitor and adjust production methods for optimal performance.
Team Management
- Supervise and lead production staff, providing training, guidance, and performance feedback.
- Manage shift scheduling and resource allocation to maintain optimal staffing levels.
Quality Control and Compliance
- Ensure products meet company and industry quality standards.
- Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to implement quality control processes.
Budgeting and Cost Control
- Develop and manage the manufacturing budget, focusing on cost-effectiveness.
- Track production costs and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Work to reduce expenses without compromising quality or efficiency.
Resource Management
- Track and manage equipment usage and maintenance schedules.
Reporting and Performance Analysis
- Track production metrics and prepare reports for upper management.
- Monitor production KPIs and set actionable goals for continuous improvement.
- Use data analysis to provide insights into production performance and potential issues.
【Qualifications】
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, lean manufacturing principles, and process optimization.
- Proven experience in a managerial role within a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills.
- Proficiency in ERP/MRP software and other production management tools.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with health, safety, and quality standards in manufacturing.
- English capability: Skilled in effective written and verbal communication with team members, management in English
- Familiar with CNC or EDM machining process will be a plus.
