SHL Medical releases the 2023 sustainability report
SHL Medical is pleased to announce the release of its 2023 sustainability report, which details the company’s ongoing efforts and accomplishments in sustainability and innovation. The publication of this report marks another milestone in the company’s journey towards transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.

The report emphasizes the company’s goals, initiatives, and progress towards three sustainability goals it has set:
Driving patient health and independence
SHL Medical is committed to enabling 8 million patients’ independence by 2030. To date, the company has successfully supported 3.1 million patients with its innovative self-injection solutions.
SHL Medical seeks to drive circularity across our products and operations by reducing our greenhouse gas emissions, transitioning to renewable electricity, as well as reducing and recycling waste.
The sustainability report further outlines the company’s progresses against the targets it set throughout 2023:
- 6% reduction of our greenhouse gas emissions compared to 2022
- 100% renewable electricity in Europa and US
- 12% increase of renewable electricity shared globally compared to 2022
- 74% of waste recycled and less than 1% of landfilled waste
Thanks to its efforts, SHL Medical is rewarded with:
- The EcoVadis silver medal status – a milestone that places the company among the top 8% of the medical devices industry
- Next-level achievement on its CDP climate score
