Job Overview
As the EHS Manager you will oversee all Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) aspects within our Swiss Operations. This is a newly established, high-impact role reporting directly to the Head of Operations. As the subject matter expert for all EHS-related initiatives, ensuring compliance with ISO 14001 & 45001 while driving a culture of safety and sustainability. You will collaborate with local authorities and conduct audits & risk assessments to continuously improve workplace safety and environmental responsibility.
Main Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations across production, testing and QC labs, logistics, and office environments.
- Implement strategic EHS initiatives and drive a strong safety culture.
- Manage chemical & waste handling, air permitting, and contractor safety programs.
- Conduct risk assessments, safety training, and incident investigations.
- Support SHL Medical’s Sustainability Strategy 2030 through proactive EHS programs.
Minimum Requirements
- BSc or MSc in Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in EHS management & leadership
- Strong knowledge of Swiss EHS legislation, incl. ISO 14001 & 45001 standards
- Excellent communication skills (English & German required)
Preferred Requirements
- Additional certificates in EHS related matters
- Strategic mindset with a passion for innovation & continuous improvement
