Job Overview

The responsibilities of the SAP Engineer include providing user support, conducting user training, implementing changes, migrating data, and maintaining technical documentation. Due to the integrated nature of SAP modules, collaboration with engineers from other modules is essential to implement system changes effectively, ensuring proper coordination and teamwork. This role is crucial in delivering a sustainable and optimized SAP S/4 HANA system to support our business operations and growth.

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide user training to ensure users know how to use SAP modules for their operations.
  • Understand business processes and requirements of warehousing and shop floor operations and provide system functions to fulfill them.
  • Configure system settings to meet business requirements.
  • Construct design specifications for internal developers with details of technical structure and logic.
  • Perform unit tests to ensure the responsible SAP module is working correctly.
  • Conduct module and system integration tests to ensure system functionality completeness and integrity.
  • Document changes, functional specifications, design specifications, user acceptance test scripts, and test results in accordance with both IT policies and CSV compliance.
  • Facilitate communication and coordination between business and IT stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with global IT leaders to implement SAP-related projects.
  • Serve as a backup for other SAP modules.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure the company’s technical direction and standards are adhered to. 
  • Provide active support for business-critical outage situations. 
  • Seek opportunities to learn, automate, document, share, educate, and improve processes where appropriate. 
  • Support, prepare, document and conduct user training, knowledge transfer and mentoring. 

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least 1-3 years of experience in SAP EWM, SAP MM/PTP or any system functional or system analyst.  
  • At least 1-3 years of experience in SAP EWM, SAP MM/PTP or IT system implementation and maintenance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP S/4, SAP BPM, and SAP Solution Manager.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in an international team environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of key integration points between the other SAP modules (EWM experience is considered an advantage). 
  • Good knowledge of the SAP ERP infrastructure and module landscape, as well as Fiori, Solution Manager, NetWeaver, Business Warehouse, Consolidation, and Business Process Management is desired. 
  • Strong organizational qualities in order to meet tight deadlines as well as coordinate, prioritize and communicate project status to all applicable parties. 
  • A team player who is friendly, communicative, open, honest, thoughtful and committed. Must work cooperatively with others, sharing ideas, collaborating and ultimately putting team goals first. 
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently or with team members with little supervision. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Mandarin and English. 
  • Must be able to respond to crisis situations in a methodical way and to prioritize work effectively.
