2. JOB OVERVIEW / PURPOSE
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Manager of Process Development to join our team in Charleston, USA. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing a process development team which leads projects and the develops and optimizes injection molding processes. This role requires a strong technical background in project management and injection molding, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record in process development.


3. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

•    Responsible to manage the process development team and provide effective guidance.
•    Assign job tasks by staffing qualification / personal ability / organization needs and monitor team performance.
•    Provide excellence in product industrialization to improve process understanding, quality and compliance of the products, efficiency and capability of the processes and profitability of the organization
•    Lead the development and implementation of (injection molding processes) for new and existing tooling products in in the medical field.
•    Communicate project status, issues, and recommendations to senior management.
•    Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain, to ensure efficient and high-quality production processes.
•    Develop and maintain process documentation, including work instructions, standard operating procedures, and quality control plans.
•    Monitor and analyze process performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
•    Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
•    Stay up-to-date with industry trends, advancements in injection molding technologies, and best practices.
•    Communicate project status, issues, and recommendations to senior management
•    Performs other related duties as assigned.


4. PROFILE

Competencies, skills, knowledge & qualifications needed to fulfill the position.
4.1. Professional Experience & Specific Skills 
•    Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
•    Minimum of 4 years of experience in injection molding process development or a related field.
•    Proven experience in managing injection molding projects and leading cross-functional teams.
•    Strong knowledge of injection molding design, development, and manufacturing processes.
•    Experience in the medical and manufacturing industry.
•    Excellent English proficiency in communication and interpersonal abilities, enabling effective collaboration across diverse teams and stakeholders

Preferred: (nice to have)
•    Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
•    Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
•    Familiarity with automation and robotics in injection molding processes.


4.2. Relevant Qualification: (education and training)
•    Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.

4.3. Language skills

Physical Requirements:
•    Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
•    Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
•    Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time.
