Job Overview

We are in the process of building a new production & office facility in Zug, which is why we are starting to fill the first positions that will be crucial to the successful installation of our new manufacturing. As the Production Manager you will play a pivotal role in building and overseeing the highly automated manufacturing of auto-injectors and related components at our Zug production site. Reporting directly to the Head of Operations, this role will play a key part in ensuring efficient, high-quality, and cost-effective production. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing, preferably within the medical device industry, and a passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence. Main Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and oversee the production of auto-injectors and other medical devices to meet demand.
• Optimize manufacturing processes to ensure cost-effective production while maintaining high quality and safety standards.
• Lead and manage production teams, ensuring compliance with GMP and safety protocols.
• Monitor KPIs to track performance and implement corrective actions for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Maintenance, SCM, Quality, EHS, CI) to identify efficiency improvements.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 13485, GMP, and other industry regulations.
• Drive innovation by implementing new technologies, automation, and best practices.
• Train and develop production staff to enhance expertise and performance.

Minimum Requirements

• 10 years of manufacturing experience, including 5 years in a leadership role as a Production Manager or similar.
• Experience in the medical device industry (ISO 13485 compliance).
• Strong knowledge of GMP, safety regulations, and compliance standards in medical device production.
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
• Proven leadership and communication abilities to effectively manage production teams.
• Fluent in German & English

Preferred Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business Management, or a related field. Experience in injection molding and automated assembly.
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and robotics integration.
• Green Belt or higher Six Sigma certification.
