Job Overview
The Team Lead SAP SD, MM at SHL will facilitate and support the Commercial and Supply Chain functions within SAP pertaining to Sales & Operational Planning, Procurement and Sales including intercompany transactions, and overall materials management lifecycle. This is a technical leadership role, requiring deep knowledge and understanding of SAP SD and MM modules. In this role you will partner with our Business Process Owners (BPOs) to analyze and define business requirements, processes and objectives to scope projects and deliverables. You will be providing comprehensive advice to our BPOs, key users, and end users on long-term and short-term perspectives on their key strategic imperatives and recommend innovations that will anticipate the future directions of both business and our IT internal stakeholders. You will create tactical and strategic roadmaps charting the deployment of SAP SD and MM digital solutions. This is a key position in our international IT Supply Chain & Logistics team, focusing on internal consulting, as well as application support. This role will focus on delivering transformation projects as well as daily support and change management.
Main Responsibilities
- Technical guidance and collaboration with other SAP module specialists in the various SHL locations (Taiwan and USA)
- Technical leadership and oversight of SAP projects focusing on SAP SD and MM modules. The project team could comprise of consulting and internal resources. Lead activities to manage scope, dependencies, risks, and schedules for such SAP projects.
- Run Fit/Gap analysis and design workshops to educate site business colleagues on standardized and global template processes and SAP functions
- Work with site business colleagues and global BPOs to define business requirements and use cases for globalisation and localisation, as appropriate
- Design and document solution alternatives that align with local business requirements, global template processes, and architectural principles by leveraging your past experience and leading practices
- Collaborate with members of other process, IT business application teams, developers, and IT teams to build the defined solution(s)
- Develop functional specifications for configuration and customization which include reports, integrations, conversions, enhancements, forms, and workflows (RICEFW) and implement them together with the team or alone (full customizing responsibility for the SD and MM modules)
- Transition the functional and design specifications to the developers for any custom development needs
- Assist in translating requirements and use cases into test conditions and expected results for functional, integration, user acceptance and performance testing
- Perform functional acceptance tests after development is completed
- Ensure the solution built is scalable to high volume, flexible for future enhancements, and upgradable for next generation solutions
- Collaborate on innovative solutions to support the future of our landscape at SHL
Skills and Qualifications
Minimum requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in SAP application consulting for S&OP, supply chain and logistics areas.
- Comprehensive understanding of the business processes in sales & distribution and procurement.
- Configuration and customization skills of the SAP S/4HANA modules SD (OTC) and MM (PTP)
- Knowledge of building custom apps in FIORI, designing and implementing approval workflows
- Fluency in English
Preferred Requirements:
- An understanding of commercial processes enabled by Salesforce and experience in integrating with SAP S4HANA
- Networking, team-working, problem-solving, analytical, and leadership skills
- SAP certification in SD and MM module
- Willingness to travel (10-20%)
- Fluency in German and/or Mandarin
